Ministry of Education and Training deploys key tasks and solutions for the 2025-2026 school year

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province Pham Thi Phuc and Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh attended the Conference.

At Lam Dong bridge, the Conference was attended by comrades Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province; Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and representatives of leaders of departments, branches, communes, wards and special zones.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son emphasized that in the 2024-2025 school year, with the spirit of striving and overcoming all difficulties, the entire education sector has well performed the tasks assigned by the Party, National Assembly, Government, and Prime Minister, completed the plan, tasks, and key solutions of the school year and achieved many important results.

In particular, the Ministry of Education and Training has made a breakthrough in institutional development, creating a legal corridor to implement innovation and development of education and training. The Ministry of Education and Training has advised the National Assembly to pass the Law on Teachers, a resolution on universalizing preschool education for preschool children from 3 to 5 years old, a resolution on tuition exemption and support for preschool children, general education students, and people studying general education programs at educational institutions in the national education system...

At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Training is actively completing 3 draft laws to submit to the National Assembly at the 10th Session (October 2025). In particular, the promulgation of the Law on Teachers is an important milestone affirming the major policy of the Party and State in honoring, caring for, protecting and developing the teaching staff - the key force in the education cause.

The two resolutions of the National Assembly demonstrate the great concern of the Party and State for education in the context of the country's many difficulties; they are of great significance in ensuring the right to education of all people, helping to narrow the gap in access to education between regions, ensuring equity in education, contributing to improving the quality of education and developing the country's human resources.

Along with that, digital transformation activities, application of information technology in management, direction and operation and in teaching and learning activities continue to be promoted. The industry database system has been basically completed with 24.55 million records connected to the national database. The online enrollment system on the National Public Service Portal has been completed at the "full process" level, allowing candidates to register for the high school graduation exam and university and college admission completely online, ensuring transparency and convenience.

Many localities have organized training courses on AI application in teaching for teachers; deployed school management software; implemented digitalization of learning records, and moved towards connecting electronic student records. In addition, the Ministry of Education and Training has submitted to the Prime Minister for approval a plan to achieve the goal of abolishing at least 30% of unnecessary business investment conditions, reducing at least 30% of processing time and 30% of administrative procedure compliance costs.

At the Conference, representatives of localities, higher education institutions, leaders of a number of ministries and central agencies exchanged opinions and evaluated the implementation of the 2024-2025 school year, difficulties arising from practice and proposals to effectively implement the tasks of the 2025-2026 school year.

The conference was held in a combination of in-person and online formats with the main bridge in Hanoi connecting to provincial and city bridges across the country.

The 2025-2026 school year is the first school year to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress; the Resolution of the National Assembly on the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2026-2030.

This is also the school year in which the whole country implements the Resolution of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development; the Law on Teachers; the Resolution of the National Assembly on exemption and support of tuition fees for preschool children, general education students, and those studying educational programs in the national education system; the Resolution of the National Assembly on universalizing preschool education for children from 3 to 5 years old. In order to effectively implement the Party and State's policies and guidelines on education and training, and successfully achieve the set goals, the Education sector has determined the theme of the 2025-2026 school year as: "Discipline - Creativity - Breakthrough - Development" with the tasks and 10 key solutions.

Speaking at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged, highly appreciated, commended and warmly congratulated the important results achieved by the Education sector in the past school year, contributing to the overall achievements of the country.

From the assessment and analysis of the achieved results, the shortcomings that need to be overcome, the causes and lessons learned, the Prime Minister gave specific instructions on key tasks and solutions for the 2025-2026 school year.

At the same time, I hope that every manager, teacher and staff in the entire sector will continue to make efforts, overcome difficulties, promote the fine traditions of the education sector to continue to innovate and develop Vietnamese education.
