Nearly 100 runners participated in "Long run 73.74km - When we come home together"

This morning, July 6, in Dong Hoi ward, Quang Binh Runners Club organized the activity "Long run 73.74km - When we come home together".

In the rain, the runners were still persistent and determined to complete the 73.74km distance.

The event was participated by nearly 100 runners gathered at Ho Chi Minh Square, Dong Hoi Ward; members of Quang Binh Runners in Ba Don, Bac Gianh, Phu Trach, Hoan Lao, Le Thuy, Bao Loc, Lam Dong, and Hanoi organized a run in response to their locality. There were two types of runs: individual runs and team relay runs (10 relay teams). In addition, the remaining members ran alongside and cheered for the individuals and relay teams.

Mr. Tran Tuan Vu completed a solo run of 73.74km.

At 10pm on July 5, teams and individual runners set off simultaneously. Despite the heavy rain, the runners remained steadfast, determined in every step and promoted the spirit of solidarity to complete the 73.74km distance at 9am on July 6.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh, representative of Quang Binh Runners Club, said that after nearly 5 years of establishment and development, Quang Binh Runners has become a common home for the Quang Binh running community. With the motto of "Run For The Better!", Quang Binh Runners is a place to connect, support and develop the running movement, helping each person become healthier, happier, more positive; spread more of the good values ​​that sports bring to people, families and communities.

With the purpose of celebrating in runner style, the Club regularly organizes long runs associated with important events of the homeland, country, holidays, and Tet. The special long run named "Long run 73.74km - When we return to one house" was organized to celebrate the historic event of merging the two provinces of Quang Binh and Quang Tri into the new Quang Tri province, while preserving a beautiful memory of the beloved name Quang Binh.

"The most worthy reward for runners is to complete a meaningful tracklog of 73.74km together and have fun and memorable experiences while participating in the event. As people who love their homeland, Quang Binh Runners members will always accompany every step of change in their home province, contributing to the development of sports in the new Quang Tri province," said Ms. Nhu Quynh.
