The construction unit rearranged the Rakuna blocks on both sides of the dike body.

The project has a total investment capital of more than 757 billion VND, from the state budget, and was awarded the construction contract by the consortium of Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company - Lung Lo Construction Corporation - Manh Linh Construction LLC - Long Phung Construction Services LLC.

The project scale is more than 300m long, connecting with phase 1 project (construction phase 2018-2020), increasing the total length of the route to 750m. Mr. Dang Phuc Hien, Director of the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of the City's Economic and Industrial Zones, said: The project started construction in October 2022 and has so far completed more than 96% of the plan, such as completing the construction items of the dike foundation, dike body, dredging the channel, pouring Rakyna cover blocks reaching 100%... Currently at the construction site, the construction unit is pouring concrete on the dike surface; at the same time, rearranging Rakuna blocks and installing warning buoys... striving to complete in August 2025.

The completion of the Phase 2 Breakwater Project ensures safety for ships with a capacity of 70,000 tons (including cargo and tourist ships) to anchor at the wharfs in Chan May port even in bad weather; contributing to the implementation of the goal of developing the Vietnamese seaport system in the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 according to the Plan approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1579/QD-TTg dated September 22, 2021.
