Nowadays, digital transformation has become an inevitable trend, forcing enterprises to transform to optimize production and business activities and develop more sustainably. In particular, e-commerce has proven to be a potential distribution channel, opening up a large space for enterprises and cooperatives to access the market.
Ha Chuan Agricultural Products Production and Processing Joint Stock Company (Ea Kar commune) is an enterprise specializing in purchasing agricultural products such as macadamia, cashew, almond, walnut... to process into cakes to supply to the retail store system in the province.
Ms. Tran Thi Ha, Director of Ha Chuan Agricultural Products Production and Processing Joint Stock Company, said that when e-commerce developed strongly, she also thought about professionalizing her business activities to suit the current economic situation.
In 2023, from a household business, she established a company and invested more scientifically to improve product quality to meet market demands. Currently, the company's premium nut cakes and macadamia nuts have achieved 3-star OCOP certification and are typical rural industrial products in the Central Highlands region.

To reach customers and expand the market, Ms. Ha tried to build a sales channel on TikTok but was unsuccessful. She realized that in order for a business to develop, in addition to good production capacity, it is also necessary to invest carefully in commerce. She actively brought products to fairs, participated in livestream sales training on e-commerce platforms, used non-cash payment methods in transactions... Recently, Ms. Ha was supported by the Department of Industry and Trade to participate in a 30-minute livestream session on the TikTok platform; thereby helping her not only sell products but also gain more experience in introducing products, integrating messages, and connecting with customers when selling online.
"The period 2026 - 2030 is the time after the merger of provinces and cities, the Government will have many mechanisms and policies to promote e-commerce activities, creating new development momentum for small and medium enterprises. Therefore, enterprises need to proactively monitor and grasp local policies to take advantage of opportunities to improve resources, apply e-commerce well, help improve production and business efficiency and sustainable development" - Chief Representative of Vietnam E-commerce Association in the Central - Central Highlands region . |
Likewise, freeze-dried agricultural products of N&H Agricultural Products Joint Stock Company (Buon Ma Thuot ward) are not only sold directly at stores and distribution agents but are also introduced and sold on e-commerce platforms such as TikTok, Shopee, Facebook...
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Director of N&H Agricultural Products Joint Stock Company, although the company's online sales activities are not yet professionally operated, each livestream session currently only lasts about 60 minutes, mainly introducing products, but initially it has brought positive effects when many customers have known and placed orders. Right in the first livestream, the company "closed" more than 10 orders.
To develop sales channels on e-commerce platforms, Ms. Huong has recently applied artificial intelligence to design and build images for the company's products to increase recognition and customer accessibility. At the same time, she has promoted the application of advanced technology solutions in operations and sales to streamline processes, reduce management costs and improve business efficiency.
Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Province Young Entrepreneurs Association Huynh Van Kieu said that implementing the National Digital Transformation Program, enterprises in the province have promoted the application of e-commerce in production and trade activities. Thereby, it has created many advantages for enterprises in promoting their brands, approaching customers and supplying products to the market.
However, the application of e-commerce by enterprises in the province is currently limited. Because most enterprises are small and medium-sized, human resources and information technology infrastructure to implement digital activities are still lacking and weak. Therefore, the business community really needs the support and attention of departments, branches and localities in terms of support policies, improving knowledge and skills to be able to "grow up" with the pace of digital transformation and integration with the global digital economy .

According to Mr. Vo Van Khanh, Chief Representative of Vietnam E-commerce Association in the Central Highlands region, Dak Lak is a locality with strengths in typical agricultural products (coffee, pepper, durian, etc.), so promoting the application of e-commerce will create favorable conditions for small and medium enterprises in the province to expand trading activities and promote exports.
In the period of 2021 - 2025, the Association has coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to organize many practical programs and activities to support establishments, enterprises and cooperatives in the province to develop e-commerce such as: opening training courses on the application of digital technology and artificial intelligence in production and product promotion; organizing online trade connections with major provinces and cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; supporting livestream sales and putting products on e-commerce platforms... Thereby, helping enterprises cut costs, expand business opportunities and contribute to bringing local goods closer to domestic and foreign consumers.
Mr. Tran Trong Luu, Head of the Trade Management Department (Department of Industry and Trade) said that in order to help the digital transformation process take place quickly and effectively, in the coming time, the Department will continue to coordinate with related units (such as the Vietnam E-commerce Association, experts, digital transformation solution units, etc.) to research and develop solutions and activities suitable to practical needs to better support the business community in improving knowledge and developing skills in e-commerce. In particular, focusing on coordinating with units training human resources with expertise and technology qualifications to support the business community in solving the "bottleneck" of human resources in this field.
