Most of the comments expressed confusion and questions because the electricity bills for June 2025 of the "nick names" all increased compared to May 2025.
Specifically, a Facebook address named Khuong Tu Nha commented: "There are houses with 2 grandparents using it, the lowest month is 90k, the highest is 200k, but this month it is 930k"; a Facebook address named Yen Duong commented: "My family still uses it like last month, but this month it has almost doubled"; a Facebook address named Quyet Anh wondered: "Why is every house complaining about the increase in electricity bill this month?".
Not only did my hometown's Luc Nam Facebook page post information related to the June electricity bill increase, but many Facebook users, such as Kun Mon's personal page, also posted the status: "I heard many people are complaining about the sudden increase in electricity bills!"
After 1 hour of posting, there were more than 1,000 likes, 365 comments,... Among the comments, the owner of a personal Facebook page named Thien Nguyen wondered: "The 4.8% increase in electricity price is not the reason for such an unusual increase in electricity bills."

To help readers and consumers understand the sudden increase in electricity bills in June, Bac Ninh Newspaper reporters spoke with Mr. Bach Hong Quan, Deputy Director of Bac Ninh Electricity Company to clarify the issue.
Mr. Quan said that the increase in bills has a clear and transparent basis, stemming from many objective and subjective factors in the process of using electricity, especially in hot weather conditions. At the same time, he affirmed that currently, Bac Ninh Electricity Company has widely deployed a remote electronic meter system, helping to automatically record electricity indexes, and data is transmitted directly to the central system of the Electricity industry. The entire measurement process is confidential, accurate and strictly inspected by competent authorities.
In particular, customers can monitor their daily electricity consumption through the "EVNNPC Customer Care" application or visit the website of the Northern Power Corporation, helping to control and transparently monitor the amount of electricity used.
According to Mr. Quan, prolonged hot weather and summer vacation are among the reasons for the increase in electricity production. Because in such harsh weather conditions, cooling devices such as air conditioners, refrigerators, electric fans, water pumps... have to operate at higher capacity, consuming more electricity.

Many customers often compare this month's bill with last month's or with other households. However, this is an inaccurate comparison. To get a correct assessment, customers should compare electricity output with the same period last year and under similar equipment usage conditions.
Besides weather factors and increased demand, another factor that contributes to the increase in electricity bills is the adjustment of electricity prices according to the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade .
From May 10, 2025, the average retail electricity price has been adjusted up by 4.8%, equivalent to VND 2,084.51/kWh. This increase is necessary to ensure financial balance of the electricity sector, especially in the context of continuous fluctuations in input fuel prices and electricity production costs.
Although the adjustment is not too large, when combined with increased consumption, people will feel the increase in bills more clearly.
In order to help customers be more proactive in using electricity and limit the sudden increase in bills, Bac Ninh Electricity Company recommends that people apply some measures such as: Limiting the use of many electrical devices at the same time during peak hours (13-15 pm) and evening (20-23 pm); adjusting the air conditioner temperature appropriately, maintaining it at 26°C or higher, combining the use of fans and heat shields for the house; turning off electrical devices when not in use, especially devices that consume a lot of electricity such as water heaters, microwaves, irons, etc.
