Dak Nong province has more than 380,000 hectares of agricultural land, accounting for 58% of the natural area. Of which, cultivation accounts for the main proportion of the total agricultural production value of the province.

In recent times, the provincial agricultural sector has promoted the "3-house" linkage chain (farmers, enterprises and the State) to help improve and enhance the quality and output of agricultural products.
In early May 2024, the Dak Nong Agricultural Extension Center - Agricultural and Forestry Seeds deployed a cabbage production model that meets VietGAP standards and is associated with product consumption in Thuan Hanh commune, Dak Song district. The scale of the model is 6 hectares, with 12 participating households.
Mrs. Tran Thi Ngoan’s family in Thuan Thanh village, Thuan Hanh commune participated in the model and planted over 1 hectare of cabbage. Although cabbage planted at this time is off-season, the center’s technical staff always “work together” with farmers so the vegetable gardens grow and develop quite well.
Ms. Ngoan said: “By participating in the model, we are supported by the State with 70% of the cost of purchasing agricultural materials. The products are 100% purchased by Nam Nung CNC Agriculture Joint Stock Company with a committed price of 5,000 VND/kg. Therefore, we are assured that participating in the chain is guaranteed to make a profit.”

According to Ms. Ngoan, with 1 hectare of cabbage, this crop her family harvested 80 tons of products, with a selling price of 5,000 VND/kg, after deducting expenses, the family made a profit of about 300 million VND.
Meanwhile, the price of cabbage grown in Dak Song is usually purchased by traders at 2,000 - 3,000 VND/kg. The implementation of the production and consumption chain has helped people stabilize their income and avoid risks due to unstable market prices.
Mr. Pham Quoc Huy, Deputy Director of Nam Nung CNC Agriculture Joint Stock Company, said that the unit has built raw material areas for producing cabbage and carrots in Thuan Hanh commune, Dak Song district, carrots in Dak Ha commune, Dak Glong district... to always stabilize output for people.
In addition to vegetable and food crop production areas, Dak Nong is also connecting with output consumption enterprises, roasters, processors, and exporters through cooperatives and small and medium enterprises to improve the output and quality of the province's key agricultural products.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong, Director of the Dak Nong Agricultural Extension Center - Agricultural and Forestry Seeds, implementing the production linkage chain is considered the foundation to shape the organization of production in rural areas.

Therefore, how to bring farmers' products to the market through cooperatives and small businesses in the area is the goal that Dak Nong's agricultural sector is aiming for.
Mr. Pham Tuan Anh, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development emphasized: "From now on, when planting, farmers will know how much profit they can achieve. Here, the chain will be different from today's story of planting without knowing who to sell to or at what price."
That is the strength of the association, once associated, people will know the productivity, output, and market prices. Thus, the producer himself must also meet the quality criteria of the consumer market.

“The key point is that all parties need to be responsible for each other. From there, the formation of a chain will limit risks in market prices. This is the goal that Dak Nong Agriculture is aiming for,” Mr. Pham Tuan Anh added.
