After offering incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Worship Room; visiting the HVBP Traditional Room; visiting and inspecting the specialized classroom for immigration control training and the accommodation and meals of Battalion 1 students; listening to Major General Giang Van Cu, Director of the HVBP report and speak at the working session, General Phan Van Giang emphasized that the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the HVBP have thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the directives and resolutions of the superiors oneducation and training work, meeting the requirements and tasks of building the Army in the new situation.

The Academy has drastically implemented innovation and improvement of the quality of education and training in the direction of standardization and modernization; closely following the practice of building the Border Guard force and the direction of the Ministry of National Defense, contributing to strengthening national defense and security, firmly protecting national sovereignty and border security.

General Phan Van Giang highly appreciated the quality of the current teaching staff and educational management staff of the Academy, especially the teaching staff with nearly 87% of PhD and Master degrees, contributing significantly to improving the quality of education and training and scientific research. The Academy actively combines innovative teaching methods of lecturers with learning methods of students; applies science and technology, uses modern equipment and means in the process of operation, management and teaching; scientific research work is always promoted, quantity and quality are constantly improved.

General Phan Van Giang emphasized that everything at the border depends on the border guards, and where there are difficulties, the Academy needs to attach importance to training each student to thoroughly understand that "The station is home, the border is homeland, and ethnic compatriots are brothers". Cadres graduating from the school are all confident, excited, have strong political will, good moral qualities, good lifestyle, close to and united with the people at the border, sea, islands and local Party committees, authorities and organizations; have a firm grasp of professional expertise, strictly abide by discipline and laws, and perform well the assigned duties and tasks.

In the coming time, to improve the quality of education and training and scientific research to meet the requirements of the task of building the Army and the Border Guard force, General Phan Van Giang requested Party committees and commanders at all levels in the Border Guard Academy to strengthen leadership and direction, create breakthroughs in innovation in education and training; continue to thoroughly grasp the resolutions and directives of the Party, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, especially Resolution No. 1657-NQ/QUTW, dated December 20, 2022 of the Central Military Commission on innovation in education and training to meet the requirements of the task of building the Army in the new situation. Urgently review, adjust, supplement, develop, promulgate action plans and programs and have optimal solutions, close to the assigned functions and tasks, creating a qualitative leap in education and training and scientific research.

Focus on building and standardizing training programs and output standards for subjects according to training goals and requirements, close to the reality of the unit. Continue to implement measures to optimize the teaching and learning process, increase the application of information technology, simulation, digital transformation; transform the training process into a self-training process. Along with that, build and develop a team of teachers and educational managers equal to the requirements of the task. Do a good job of planning, creating resources, closely combining training and fostering with promotion, appointment, and assignment; focus on building and developing a team of teachers with high professional qualifications, scientific titles, good teachers, excellent teachers, and people's teachers. Proactively invite leaders and commanders of units to lecture on topics, exchange and share experiences in management, border protection, and build a strong and comprehensive unit.

Minister Phan Van Giang noted that the Academy continues to take measures to strictly maintain discipline, order, and order in all regimes, rules, and regulations. Promote the work of building a regular, strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" unit, building a bright, green, clean, and beautiful Academy environment. Focus on building a clean and strong Academy Party Committee in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization, and staff.
