These days, at the National Military Training Center 4 (Hanoi), 7 female soldier groups including: military band, military medicine, peacekeeping , commando soldiers, information soldiers, ethnic militia, and southern guerrillas entered the peak period of training to participate in the parade and march at the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2 (mission A80).

Among the more than 1,200 female soldiers, many have participated in parade training and marching in mission A50, but the difference in climate and weather between the South and the North is still a big challenge for them.
Hanoi’s weather is windless, hot and sunny, with occasional rains directly affecting the health of the female soldiers. However, the female soldiers all showed a clear sense of responsibility, training seriously and persistently.
Two best friends named Linh met again on the parade ground.
Faces drenched in sweat after the training session, two female soldiers Nguyen Phuong Linh and Nguyen Le Phuong Linh (both 20 years old, residing in Gia Lai province) were still happily chatting. The two female soldiers are close friends in the block and were coincidentally arranged to share a room in mission A80.
Female soldier Nguyen Phuong Linh said that they started meeting each other in February 2023 when they joined the army. At that time, they were assigned to the same team and room by the unit, so they studied and lived together. From then on, the two soldiers became close friends, often sharing joys and sorrows in life.

After the training period, Nguyen Phuong Linh was assigned to the Border Guard unit of the old Binh Dinh province and Nguyen Le Phuong Linh was assigned to the Border Guard unit of Gia Lai province, so when they accidentally met each other at mission A80, they were very surprised and emotional.
"At the training ground, we are teammates. After practice, we treat each other like family. Having you by my side makes me feel much more secure," Phuong Linh said.
Phuong Linh also shared that the most difficult thing for her and her teammates was the weather in the North when the sun was out and there was no wind, making them feel uncomfortable. Therefore, after each practice hour, everyone encouraged them to try harder to be worthy of the assigned task.
Promise to come home together after completing mission A80
In addition to the pair of close friends named Linh, among the thousands of female soldiers being trained to carry out the A80 mission, each has their own special story. One of them is female soldier Nguyen Thi Hai (24 years old, part of the female medical unit), who was proposed to by her boyfriend at the preliminary rehearsal for the A50 mission in Ho Chi Minh City last April.
Talking to Thanh Nien , the female soldier said that it was the most beautiful memory of her military life. More than 2 months have passed, but she still feels excited and emotional when thinking about that moment.

Ms. Hai said that on the evening of April 27, when she and her teammates had just finished the rehearsal ceremony and returned to the gathering point at September 23 Park (HCMC), her boyfriend came to visit. At first, the two talked normally, but then her boyfriend suddenly brought a ring and knelt down to propose in front of many people. Ms. Hai was surprised and astonished, but then quickly agreed.
"A few days ago, my boyfriend texted me that he would come from Bac Giang (old) to Ho Chi Minh City to visit and cheer me up. When he arrived, he shared his proposal plan with his teammates and hid it from me, so when he proposed, I was very surprised. Everyone knew the plan but I was the only one who didn't know. Maybe he wanted to create a memorable memory for me," said Ms. Hai.
According to the female soldier, her boyfriend is 5 years older than her, works in Military Region 1, and has known each other for a year and a half. Although she is very happy, she tries to control her emotions so as not to affect the following training sessions.

After the A50 mission, Ms. Hai continued to be selected to join the female medical unit to prepare for the A80 mission. The hard training days on the training ground, the encouragement from her family and boyfriend were the motivation for her to overcome the difficulties.
"Recently, my boyfriend came to visit. He encouraged me a lot and didn't talk about work. We promised that when we finished the A80 mission, we would get married," the female soldier revealed.
