The first highlight of this cooperation is the two sides' coordination in deploying the comprehensive digital payment solution mobiPOS for the public administration sector. This solution integrates the cashless payment system between MobiFone's mobiPOS platform and VPBank's payment solutions such as SmartPOS, SoftPOS, QR Payment, Ecompay... thereby supporting state agencies, public administration centers, and public transaction points in modernizing the collection and payment process, enhancing transparency, convenience and safety for people.
The two sides are also cooperating to deploy the Agent Banking model on the network of MobiFone points of sale and stores nationwide. This model, when deployed, will allow people in rural and remote areas to access basic financial services such as opening eKYC accounts, interbank deposits/withdrawals, bill payments, telecommunications top-ups, credit card registration and consumer loans, etc. through MobiFone's existing infrastructure.
Microsoft cuts 9,000 jobs, Xbox suffers heavy impact
Microsoft has confirmed that it will lay off around 9,100 employees – equivalent to 4% of its global workforce – in the latest round of cuts, continuing a series of layoffs that have lasted throughout the past year. Notably, the Xbox (Microsoft Gaming) division is one of the units that has been hardest hit.
According to insiders, game studios like King (Candy Crush) will cut 10% of their staff, equivalent to 200 people. Studio Turn 10 (Forza Motorsport) will lose more than 70 employees, while two major titles, Perfect Dark and Everwild, will be completely canceled. Studio The Initiative – the developer of Perfect Dark – will also close.

Xbox chief Phil Spencer said the restructuring was aimed at increasing flexibility, focusing on strategic growth areas and eliminating layers of middle management. He stressed that the decisions were not a reflection of the capabilities or contributions of the affected employees.
This is the third major cut in just two months, after Microsoft laid off more than 6,000 people in May and another 305 in June. Since the beginning of 2024, the company has continuously streamlined staff in the gaming, HoloLens and Azure cloud computing divisions.
Tesla faces second straight year of declining sales, despite stimulus efforts
Tesla just announced sales of 384,122 vehicles in the second quarter of 2025. This is the second consecutive quarter of weak results, putting the company at risk of continuing to see sales decline for the entire year after a long slide in 2024.

The main reasons are weak demand for current models, political turmoil related to CEO Elon Musk, and limited effectiveness of discount campaigns and low-interest promotions. Despite slight upgrades to its vehicle lineup and the launch of a Robotaxi pilot service in Austin, Texas, Tesla has not been able to reverse the downward trend.
Notably, the second quarter was Tesla’s first full-year period since Musk joined the Trump administration — a move that sparked “Tesla Takedown” protests across the U.S. Some Model Y and Cybertruck production lines were also disrupted in May.
While rivals like Ford, Hyundai, and Kia have also seen a decline in EV sales, only General Motors has seen growth thanks to a series of new models. Tesla is scheduled to release its second-quarter financial report on July 23, which will reveal the specific impact of this difficult period.
