VHO - Cua Nam Ward (Hanoi) was rearranged and reorganized from a number of wards in Hoan Kiem and Hai Ba Trung districts, with an area of ​​about 1.68 km² and a population of over 52,000 people. The ward is located in the political - administrative - cultural center of Hanoi Capital.

To celebrate the announcement of the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the decisions of Hanoi City on the implementation of organizing commune-level administrative units, and to celebrate the founding day, on the evening of July 1, the People's Committee of Cua Nam Ward organized the art program "Cua Nam Ward enters a new era".

Cua Nam Ward was established on the basis of rearranging and reorganizing the wards: Hang Bai, Phan Chu Trinh, Tran Hung Dao (Hoan Kiem district); part of Cua Nam wards (Hoan Kiem district), Nguyen Du, Pham Dinh Ho (Hai Ba Trung district); and the remaining parts of Hang Bong, Hang Trong, Trang Tien wards.

Along with that, creating a clear change in urban management and heritage conservation, towards sustainable development, harmony between conservation and development; effective management of planning - construction, urban order; developing a modern, synchronous urban infrastructure system; effectively exploiting cultural and architectural heritages in the old quarter to develop cultural industry and tourism.

At the same time, promote cultural industry, international cooperation activities, promote trade - investment - tourism; promote the image of Cua Nam as a cultural - creative space, an attractive destination in the heart of the capital.
