President Luong Cuong's attendance at this event affirms Vietnam's responsible voice towards world peace , security and development.

26 heads of state and government attended the celebration.

Opening the event, Xi Jinping delivered an important speech in his capacity as General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, President and Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China.

President Xi Jinping sent greetings to the international leaders and heads of government attending the event, affirming that this is an occasion to remember history, cherish peace and pay tribute to veterans.

Xi Jinping affirmed that the Chinese people have made great contributions to the cause of defending human civilization and world peace through their great sacrifices in the war. He said that the war of resistance against Japan is not only a part of China's history but also an important part of the global anti-fascist war.

In his speech, the Chinese President also called on countries around the world to eliminate the root causes of war and prevent historical tragedies from repeating themselves. According to him, common security can only be guaranteed when countries treat each other equally, live in harmony and support each other.

Affirming his foreign policy stance, Xi Jinping said China will continue on the path of peaceful development. He stressed that humanity is now faced with a choice between peace and war, dialogue or confrontation. China, he said, will firmly stand on the side of peace and progress and work with other countries to build a community with a shared future.

The Chinese president also stressed that the process of national rejuvenation is unstoppable and expressed his belief that the cause of peace and development of mankind will ultimately triumph. He called on the Chinese people of all ethnic groups to unite and work hard under the leadership of the Communist Party of China to build a strong country and promote modernization with Chinese characteristics.

The parade lasted about 70 minutes with the participation of 45 formations; mobilizing more than 12,000 soldiers and hundreds of domestically produced weapons.

The equipment formations are organized into combat groups based on real combat scenarios, including land and sea operations, air and missile defense, information warfare, unmanned operations, logistics support and strategic attack.

The air formations, organized in a modular and systematic manner, include advanced early warning and command aircraft, fighters, bombers, transport aircraft... bringing together most of the main types of combat aircraft currently in service with the People's Liberation Army of China.
