According to the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, in Oriental aesthetics, the image of the Four Sacred Animals – Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix – has symbolic meaning, associated with philosophical, religious, and social concepts. Not simply fictional mascots, the Four Sacred Animals represent the core elements of the universe, expressing the desire for peace, prosperity, and harmony between humans and nature.
