DPR IAN greets Vietnamese audience
DPR IAN says "hello Vietnam", "miss you guys a lot"
In the clip sent to Vietnamese audiences, DPR IAN said: "I miss you guys so much. I'm so happy to announce that I will be performing at 8Wonder on August 23. Can't wait, hope you all will be there."
The artist added: "I really love Vietnam and you guys. I was so excited to meet you guys." He also blew kisses, making fans swoon.
"Why is my brother so sweet?", "come to me right away", "crazy cute", "let him perform 12 songs, I know almost all the lyrics"... are comments left by the audience on the 8Wonder fanpage (with a blue tick).
Chau Dinh humorously said that he "said he loved Vietnam so easily".
On Threads, many viewers shared that they wanted to follow 8Wonder just because they wanted to meet IAN, wanted to see him "in the flesh".
A part of the audience is interested in the setlist DPR IAN brought to 8Wonder : "If there was Winterfall , I would cry right there", "I also love Winterfall, Merry Go, Ribbon, Ballroom Extravaganza ... too", " Calilo too, so chill"...
Before the K-pop concert featuring G-Dragon in June, not many people knew about DPR IAN.
But as soon as the event ended, it was not G-Dragon or CL but DPR IAN who made Vietnamese fans "hunt" after a 30-minute performance like a "god".
Different music style, beautiful dance, attractive and charismatic viber, especially the scene where he plays the guitar in the rain is "absolutely cinematic" and makes the audience "faint over and over".
Before returning home, he checked in at a coffee shop and praised Vietnamese pho, making fans "want him to stay in Vietnam forever".

Famous overnight, who is DPR IAN?
DPR IAN is not a popular name like BTS, BlackPink, G-Dragon, EXO... but if you see him perform once, many people will immediately fall in love with him.
Born in Australia, after graduating from performing arts school in 2008, he bought a one-way ticket to South Korea because he wanted to understand more about his roots.
IAN's musical style is not similar to the general K-pop formula
Coming from a heavy metal and hardcore metal background, he was not very familiar with K-pop at first. It was only after returning to Korea and becoming a trainee at an entertainment company that he began to gradually integrate into that environment.
However, IAN's ego and artistic nature made him want to do more.
He once said that when he was in the idol industry, artists couldn't decide what they wanted to do. They were just a product.
At that time, IAN promised himself that if he left the industry, he would do something like give artists the attention, voice, and recognition they deserved.
Then he stepped out of all K-pop norms to take a different path, an independent artist, not under any management company but free.
DPR IAN's creative world is all-encompassing and sometimes avant-garde. Instead of trying to follow dizzying trends, he does what he wants within his own worldview .
His music is diverse, from pop, chamber music, EDM, RnB alternative, house, to Britpop...
MV So I Danced by DPR IAN
He is also behind unique MVs of many K-pop artists and himself such as No Blueberries, Don't Go Insane, Peanut Butter & Tears, So I Danced, Limbo, Wake Me Up..., most recently IU's MV Shopp e.
Many artists are willing to expose their emotions and show their true selves, but few can turn it into such inspiration and generosity.
Somehow, it was also a way for IAN to understand and soothe his own bipolar disorder.
