Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc: Ho Chi Minh City aims to become an attractive tourist super city

(NLDO) – The megacity of Ho Chi Minh City is gradually becoming a regional event center, an attractive, dynamic and promising tourist destination.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized this at the opening art program of the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC) 2025, with the theme: "Vietnam Night - Flow of Essence", taking place on the evening of September 3.

The Gala Night was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee Phan Van Mai; leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, leaders of ministries in charge of tourism of various countries and nearly 700 domestic and international delegates from 41 countries and territories.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, "Vietnam Night - Flow of Essence" - one of the special events at ITE HCMC 2025 - is a cultural bridge, where the essence of Vietnamese tourism and cuisine is introduced to delegates and guests, to gain an in-depth look at Vietnamese people and culture.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the program, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that within the framework of ITE HCMC 2025, Ho Chi Minh City would like to present to international friends an art program with the theme "Flow of Essence".

"The program is a welcome to international friends to Ho Chi Minh City - a modern megacity, the leading dynamic economic and financial center of the country. A megacity that is gradually becoming a regional event - MICE center, and at the same time an attractive, dynamic and promising tourist destination" - Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized.
