Dong Thap spends 145 billion VND to restore and embellish the tomb and temple of Nguyen Sinh Sac.

The relic site where the temple and tomb of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac are located (Cao Lanh ward, Dong Thap province) was invested in by Dong Thap province to be restored and renovated with a budget of more than 145 billion VND.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Thap province (project investor), as of September 3, the bid packages have basically been completed on schedule. Of which, the project of renovating and embellishing the tomb and temple of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac has been completed, awaiting general cleaning.

The project to restore, embellish and promote the value of Nguyen Sinh Sac Relic Site has a total investment of more than 145.1 billion VND, expected to be implemented from 2024-2026, including 18 bid packages. Of which, there are 13 consulting bid packages, 1 non-consulting bid package, 2 goods procurement bid packages, 1 mixed bid package and 1 construction and installation bid package.

The main packages include items such as: Construction of interior equipment, equipment for the exhibition house of Vice President Nguyen Sinh Sac; specialized equipment including explanation system, audio guide, sign guide, QR quick access code; renovation and embellishment of temples, courtyards, tomb domes, auxiliary buildings...

According to the investor representative, the project has 130-180 workers/day, and has basically completed the design items, with only asphalt paving, planting ornamental plants, and general cleaning remaining.

Inside the exhibition hall, the technical team will be completed in about a week. The stone railing fence project has just arisen and is waiting for materials to be delivered. It is expected to ensure progress on the inauguration date of September 25.

Through the actual inspection, Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee - directly gave the construction unit advice on points to note, so that the old and new items are synchronized. In which, the construction unit, the supervision consultant, the investor representative, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, coordinated with the Department of Construction to implement to soon complete the overall project.

"It is necessary to speed up the construction progress, require the contractor to increase manpower, possibly work overtime at night, and basically complete the overall project by September 15. All old items that have been renovated must also be renewed to be consistent with the new constructions, ensuring aesthetics," Mr. Phong noted.

The national relic site where Nguyen Sinh Sac's tomb is located has an area of ​​about 8.8 hectares. The construction items in the relic site were invested in many stages, from 1977 to 2010. Up to now, many construction items have degraded and need to be invested in upgrading, renovating, and embellishing to better serve visitors and tourists.

The relic site is one of the typical destinations, attracting many tourists of Dong Thap, a red address to organize activities about the source, educating historical traditions and love for the homeland and country for the young generation.

Dong Thap province is honored to represent the people of the whole country and the Nguyen Sinh family to look after the tomb and offer incense to worship Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac, the father of President Ho Chi Minh.
