Gia Lai attracts 69 investment projects, total capital of over 4.6 billion USD

DNVN – At the 2025 investment promotion conference held on August 29, Gia Lai provincial leaders awarded memorandums of understanding and investment certificates to 69 projects, with a total capital of VND 119,700 billion, equivalent to more than USD 4.6 billion.

Of which, Gia Lai province has granted investment cooperation memorandums of understanding to 42 projects with a total registered capital of VND93,430 billion (equivalent to nearly USD3.6 billion).

At the same time, investment policy decisions and investment registration certificates were granted to 27 projects with a total registered capital of VND 26,262 billion (equivalent to more than 1 billion USD).

Gia Lai provincial leaders presented an investment memorandum to Gia Lai Mountainous Development and Business Joint Stock Company, the investor of a renewable energy project with an estimated capital of VND1,800 billion.

Specifically, of the 42 projects awarded memorandums of cooperation, 23 projects are in the industrial sector (renewable energy, industrial cluster infrastructure); 13 projects are in the agriculture - forestry - fishery sector; 3 projects are in the tourism - service sector; 2 projects are in the real estate and urban economy sector; 1 project is in the port services and logistics sector.

Some large-scale projects include: renewable energy of Trung Nam Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (VND9,960 billion); renewable energy of Nhon Hoa 2 Energy Joint Stock Company (VND9,500 billion); forestry tree planting combined with cattle breeding of Truong Hai Agriculture Joint Stock Company (VND11,000 billion).

Agricultural product processing factory, building a provincial agricultural database of Thanh Thanh Cong - Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company (6,000 billion VND); dairy farm of Nutifood Nutrition Food Joint Stock Company (6,000 billion VND)...

Of the 27 projects granted investment policies and investment registration certificates, 13 are in the industrial sector; 1 is in the energy sector; 7 are in the infrastructure construction sector; 4 are in the trade - service - tourism sector and 2 are in the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector.

Some notable large-scale projects include: Phu My Port Construction Investment Project Phase 1 of Phu My Investment Group Joint Stock Company (VND6,087 billion); Van Canh wind power plant of Nexif Ratch Energy SE Asia Company Limited (over VND5,700 billion).

Project to build mixed-use apartment buildings at land plot No. 72B of Arita Joint Stock Company (VND 3,509 billion); Long Van International Hospital of the consortium of Barin Joint Stock Company and Phuong Dong Medical Complex Company Limited (VND 1,337 billion)...

Phu My Investment Group Joint Stock Company received the investment policy decision for the Phu My Port construction investment project.

Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the investment promotion conference is not only a forum connecting Gia Lai provincial government with investors and international organizations, but also affirms the image of a new Gia Lai after the merger with a larger scale, longer-term vision, converging all the factors of "heavenly time, favorable location, and harmony" for development and is ready for development.

However, Mr. Dung emphasized that the success of the conference is only the beginning. In order for commitments to quickly become reality and projects to come into operation soon, drastic, synchronous and consistent actions are required immediately after the conference.

In the coming time, the province will continue to invest in infrastructure, first of all the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway, building Phu Cat airport into an international airport, urgently implementing the construction of Phu My port, upgrading Quy Nhon port, roads connecting to industrial parks, industrial clusters, seaports... to complete and synchronize infrastructure, creating the best conditions for investors when investing in the province.

“The entire political system of the province will always accompany, be responsible, and create the best conditions for investors. ‘Roll up your sleeves’ to remove and resolve each obstacle and bottleneck for each project. Regularly and periodically organize dialogues with businesses to listen, remove difficulties and obstacles, promote projects to be implemented as soon as possible, fastest, and most effectively”, the Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee pledged.

For businesses and investors, the Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary hopes that those who have researched, committed, and been granted investment certificates must tell the truth, do the right thing, and do it in accordance with the law.

“Gia Lai does not accept any enterprise taking advantage of policy mechanisms to request land funds and then transfer them… I hope that in the projects that have been granted investment certificates and signed memorandums of understanding today, at least 100,000 billion VND will ‘stay’ with Gia Lai,” Mr. Dung emphasized.
