In particular, sports tourism is being identified by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism as one of the breakthrough directions until 2030.

In addition to golf, many other sports such as traditional martial arts, beach volleyball, marathon, and motorboat racing are also actively exploited by the locality to attract tourists. In particular, Quy Nhon City, a place with great potential and twice awarded the title of "ASEAN Clean Tourist City", has become a center for organizing international sports and cultural events such as: UIM F1H2O Motorboat Racing, Teqball World Championship, ITF-BT50 Beach Tennis Championship, etc.

Not only creating a strong boost for the tourism industry, these tournaments also contribute to spreading the image of a dynamic, modern, and rich-in-identity Gia Lai to international friends.

Gia Lai identifies sports tourism as a new direction. Every year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism actively advises the Provincial People's Committee to organize national and international sports events. In addition, it also actively implements provincial sports events to stimulate the movement of physical exercise and sports, creating spiritual food for the people.

Quy Nhon has twice won the title of "ASEAN Clean Tourist City".

In the tourism sector, one of the breakthrough tasks by 2030, identified by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, is to develop typical products such as cultural - historical tourism, sea tourism, night tourism, scientific tourism, community tourism and sports tourism.
