Corps 15 awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 collectives and 11 individuals for their outstanding performance in implementing Directive No. 169.

(GLO)- On August 29, the Party Committee and Command of the 15th Corps held a conference to review 5 years of implementing Directive No. 169-CT/QUTW dated December 29, 2020 of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee on strengthening leadership and direction of policy work for the Army and the Army's rear in the 2021-2025 period.

Over the past 5 years, the Party Committee, the Command of the 15th Corps and the Party committees and commanders at all levels have thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented Directive No. 169, achieving many comprehensive results.

The Corps has ensured full and timely implementation of policies and regimes for soldiers, defense workers, and laborers; cared for wounded soldiers, families of martyrs, and people with meritorious services; promoted the "Repaying gratitude" movement, actively participated in social security programs, contributing to strengthening people's trust in the Party, State, and Army.

Many creative and practical models and methods have been implemented such as: supporting the construction and repair of 751 houses with a total value of nearly 55 billion VND, including 26 "Houses of Gratitude", 285 "Houses of Comrades", 172 "Houses of Great Unity", 237 "Workers' Housing"...; organizing more than 250,000 working days to help people repair roads, dredge canals, and renovate martyrs' cemeteries; investing in renovating and repairing over 165 km of roads, 85 bridges, 35 clean water works, 5 kindergartens, 3 preschools, 4 cultural communal houses with a total cost of hundreds of billions of VND.

In particular, agencies and units have coordinated to organize health check-ups, consultations, and provide free medicine for more than 5,800 policy beneficiaries and people in border areas; presented more than 370,000 gifts, 335 tons of unhusked rice, and tens of thousands of sets of clothes, blankets, and necessities, with a total value of over 340 billion VND.

Thereby, contributing to taking care of the lives of officers and soldiers working in difficult areas, while strengthening trust and enhancing solidarity between the army and people in strategic areas.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Doan Quang Hoa praised the achievements of the 15th Army Corps, and requested that in the coming time, the Army Corps continue to thoroughly grasp the resolutions and directives of superiors; focus on implementing new policies on officers, professional soldiers, social insurance, health insurance; pay attention to building a strong agency and staff team to do policy work, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

On this occasion, 9 collectives and 11 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Directive No. 169 received Certificates of Merit from the 15th Corps Command.
