Searching for relatives of newborn baby abandoned on the roadside in Vinh Hoa

The People's Committee of Vinh Hoa commune (An Giang province) has issued a notice to find relatives of the newborn baby abandoned on the roadside in Can Vam hamlet, Vinh Hoa commune.

According to the People's Committee of Vinh Hoa commune, on August 29, passersby heard the cry of an abandoned newborn baby on the side of the road at Self-governing People's Group No. 4, Can Vam hamlet, so they reported it to the police and local authorities.

Upon receiving the report, the police and local authorities arrived at the scene and discovered the baby boy, weighing about 3kg, wrapped in a gray-brown coat, with no property or related documents attached.

The boy was taken to Vinh Hoa Commune Health Center by locals for a health check-up and care. Currently, the boy is being temporarily adopted by a local resident and his health is stable.

The People's Committee of Vinh Hoa commune has issued a notice to search for the relatives of the abandoned baby boy. Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Hoa commune Dang Kim Oanh informed that after 7 days, if there is no information about the baby's biological parents, the People's Committee of Vinh Hoa commune will notify the person temporarily raising the baby to carry out the procedures to register the child's birth according to regulations.
