On August 31, the An Giang Department of Tourism said that at this time, at the high-speed ferry terminals to Phu Quoc and Phu Quoc International Airport, tourists are flocking to the island for entertainment and relaxation. According to the An Giang Department of Tourism, on the first day of the September 2 holiday, An Giang tourism welcomed over 77,000 visitors, a slight increase over the same period in 2024; of which, there were over 4,800 international visitors.

Total tourism revenue reached VND142 billion, up 29.9% over the same period in 2024. Phu Quoc special zone alone welcomed over 22,000 visitors, up 5.9% over the same period in 2024; of which, there were over 4,800 international visitors.

Due to the weather conditions in the first days of the September 2nd holiday, there were rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds due to the influence of storm number 5 and tropical depression, affecting tourism activities, especially outdoor entertainment activities, sightseeing activities on islands and at sea.
