YouTube Premium was launched by Google in Vietnam from mid-April 2023. This is a paid YouTube service that allows users to watch content without ads, without requiring a network, and allows background playback.

Currently, the YouTube Premium personal package is sold by Google at a price of 79,000 VND/month. Meanwhile, the YouTube Premium family package costs 149,000 VND/month with a maximum of 5 simultaneous users. Thus, each member account will have to pay a minimum of 30,000 VND/month.
Recently, many Facebook users said they often see advertising posts about subscribing to YouTube Premium service for only 9,000 VND/month. Obviously, this price is much lower than Google's selling price.
However, users need to be very careful with these types of posts. Sellers can buy an account and resell it to many different users. In fact, scammers can only pay for one month but charge the buyer for a 6 or 12 month service package.
Even if the seller will support the payment after the upgrade, the risk is not over. In some cases, the seller also requires the buyer to provide full information about the Gmail account as well as the login password to register for a "genuine" YouTube Premium account.
When encountering situations like the above, buyers should absolutely stay away. Disclosing Gmail account information can cause them to face many different risks.
Accordingly, Gmail accounts are often linked to many other platforms, such as social networking sites or even bank accounts. Therefore, revealing Gmail accounts and passwords can cause users to have their personal data and many other important information stolen.
In fact, the service of selling YouTube Premium accounts has appeared in the Vietnamese market for many years. Currently, the average price on the "black market" fluctuates between 25,000-35,000 VND/month.
