Countries provide emergency aid to help Vietnam overcome the consequences of storm No. 3

On September 12, South Korea pledged $2 million in humanitarian aid to help the Vietnamese people restore areas damaged by Typhoon Yagi. Australia has provided $3 million for emergency relief efforts, and the first batch of relief supplies has arrived in Hanoi . The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) will also send relief supplies to Vietnam, including 300 family tents and two water distribution systems serving 10,000 people. The United States, through USAID, provided $1 million in assistance, underscoring its long-term commitment to Vietnam in improving its disaster resilience.

Japan is considering providing material aid through JICA, including water purifiers and plastic tarpaulins. ASEAN and UNICEF have also deployed essential aid such as household appliances, clean water and hygiene products to affected areas. Other organizations such as UN Women and European embassies are working with Vietnam to identify urgent needs and appropriate support plans./.
