Coffee prices increase but exports decrease

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province, the total export value in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated at 598.73 million USD, an increase of 25.02% over the same period last year, reaching 54.43% of the plan, achieving the growth scenario of 10% of the province. Particularly for green coffee, the total export value in the first 6 months is estimated at 30.14 thousand tons, worth 169.85 million USD, down 22.16% in volume but up 39.08% in value over the same period in 2024.

The reason for the high coffee prices is that farmers and businesses hold on to their goods waiting for higher prices, so coffee export output has decreased.
