Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung delivered the opening speech of the program.
Speaking at the opening of the Program, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung stated: 100 years is a long enough time for a seed to turn into an ancient tree, for a quiet stream to turn into a large river of rolling alluvium, and in those 100 years, from the first newspaper named "Thanh Nien" in 1925 founded and led by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has matured, always accompanying the nation and the country, becoming a core force, a pioneer on the ideological and cultural front of the Party, making outstanding contributions in every development journey of the country's revolution.
The press always plays a pioneering role: "Going first to pave the way - Going together to implement - Going after to summarize". The milestone of 100 years of revolutionary press is a fulcrum to continue on a new journey that is deeper, more creative and more inspiring, in the direction of professionalism, humanity and modernity.
According to Minister Nguyen Van Hung, literature, art and journalism have a close and lasting relationship, and all have the mission of fostering viewpoints, awareness, ideology, feelings and aesthetics for the majority of people.
Approaching in that direction, through language, images, combined with traditional and modern artistic techniques, today's special art program aims to combine the past, present and future. It is a word of gratitude and a fragrant flower for journalists.
The choir resounded with "The Torch that Lights the Way" as if recreating the journey of journalism from the early days to modern times. Next was "The historians who wrote their history with blood in the fire and bullets" through the works: "Proud of my journalism profession"; "Like a nameless flower"; "The journalism profession I love" as an epic about war correspondents, soldier journalists who completed journalistic works to record the glorious feats of the nation and preserve the integrity of history.
And the program ended with the message: " One hundred years of the journalist's pen, not only recording history but also carving the soul of the times" with songs like a symphony of the present and the future, where the press blends with technology, digital tradition, artificial intelligence, but still retains the core qualities of "Bright eyes - Pure heart - Sharp pen" to join the whole Party, the whole people, the whole army in building the country to become increasingly rich, democratic, fair, civilized, prosperous and happy.

Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day is the anniversary of the birth of the newspaper "Thanh Nien" founded by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc on June 21, 1925. In the history of Vietnamese press, since the 1960s, a number of other newspapers were born in Saigon, Hanoi and several other localities. But the newspaper "Thanh Nien" opened a new line of journalism: Vietnamese revolutionary journalism. The newspaper "Thanh Nien" raised high the revolutionary flag, spoke of the will and aspirations of the Vietnamese people and pointed out the direction of the Vietnamese people's struggle for independence, freedom and socialism.
Because of that meaning, the Central Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam issued Decision No. 52 on February 5, 1985, choosing June 21 every year as "Vietnam Press Day" to enhance the role and social responsibility of the press, strengthen the relationship between the press and the public, and strengthen the Party's leadership over the press.
On June 21, 2000, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Vietnam Press Day, at the proposal of the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Politburo of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam agreed to call Vietnam Press Day Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
With that meaning, this art program aims to propagate to all classes of people about love for homeland, country, love for the profession, pride of journalists, worthy of being one of the pioneering shock forces, sharp weapons on the ideological and cultural front of the Party; honoring the contributions of the Vietnamese revolutionary press to the country's development achievements in all fields.
The special art program "Forever a pure heart - Sharp pen" is performed by the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater in coordination with related units.
The program consists of 4 chapters: Chapter I: The Beginning - The foundation of hundreds of years of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism; Chapter II: The fierceness of the resistance war to defend the country - Dedication and dedication of revolutionary journalism; Chapter III: Gratitude; Chapter IV: The era of rising up - Prosperity, strength, journalism accompanies the nation.
The program was elaborately staged, combining music, dance, images and historical documents. The program's content depicts the 100-year journey of hardship but also glory of Vietnam's revolutionary press, from when President Ho Chi Minh founded Thanh Nien newspaper to modern journalism in the digital transformation period.
With many special performances, the program is like an artistic epic recreating the history of a century of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism; the journey of fighting and serving of generations of Vietnamese journalists.
