On the morning of October 26, Duong Hong Son, Thach Bao Khanh and Pham Thanh Luong participated in the football training program (Football Clinic) for talented young players. The event took place at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (VYF), including a coaching workshop and activities applying the "Okada" coaching method - named after famous Japanese coach Takeshi Okada. This activity is part of a series of side events of the ASEAN Cup 2024 Trophy Tour (formerly known as the AFF Cup).

The Mitsubishi Electric Cup (AFF Cup) is the region’s premier football event. The 15th edition will take place in December this year, with the Vietnamese team aiming to reach the finals.
Before arriving in Vietnam, the trophy procession took place in Bangkok (Thailand), Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and will continue to Jakarta (Indonesia) on November 2, before ending in Manila (Philippines) on November 9.
The 2024 ASEAN Cup group stage will officially kick off on December 8. Group A includes Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia and Timor Leste. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team are in Group B with Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar and Laos.
In the group stage of the AFF Cup 2024, each team will play 2 home matches and 2 away matches. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will play at home against Indonesia - considered the toughest opponent in the group. The group winners and runners-up will advance to the semi-finals.
In the semi-finals and finals, the teams compete in two knockout rounds. The AFF Cup does not have a third-place match.
