(Dan Tri) - A baby girl abandoned in a nylon bag in Ho Chi Minh City is being actively treated by doctors.

On June 17, a representative of Gia Dinh People's Hospital (HCMC) informed Dan Tri reporter about the health condition of the baby girl abandoned in a nylon bag in Binh Thanh district.

Accordingly, on the morning of June 16, an unknown newborn girl was brought to the hospital with aspiration pneumonia, neonatal infection, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) 94%, and weight 3,400g.

After receiving the baby, doctors at Gia Dinh People's Hospital transferred the baby girl to the Neonatal Pathology Department to monitor newborn infections. The baby was treated with methods such as vitamin K1 injection, SAT injection (tetanus antitoxin), multiple antibiotics, IV fluids and milk (10ml/feeding).

Currently, the baby can breathe fresh air, is rosy, has warm limbs, clear pulse and heart, regular breathing, soft abdomen, flat fontanel, has finished drinking milk, does not vomit, and continues to be monitored at the Neonatal Pathology Department.

As reported, at around 6am on June 16, people discovered a newborn baby girl abandoned in a black nylon bag containing many clothes in the Chu Van An bridge area (Chu Van An street, ward 26, Binh Thanh district).

Upon discovering the incident, local residents took the girl to the hospital for emergency treatment. Upon receiving the news, local police quickly arrived at the scene and extracted security camera footage to clarify the cause of the incident.
