The Admissions Council of Van Hien University (VHU) has just announced the first round of regular university admission scores in 2025 according to three methods: High school graduation exam results, high school transcripts and Ho Chi Minh City National University's Competency Assessment exam scores.
Minimum admission score from 15 to 18, flexible with many combinations
Accordingly, with the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores, most of VHU's majors have a minimum admission score of 15 points. Some majors have higher requirements such as International Relations and Vietnamese Studies with a minimum admission score of 16 points.
For gifted majors such as Film and Television Directing, Film and Television Technology, Vocal Music and Piano, admission is based on a combination of cultural subjects and gifted exams organized by the school, with separate floor scores for each exam.
In 2025, Van Hien University will also expand admission to many subject combinations, including traditional combinations (A00, D01...) and new combinations (X01, X54, X74...), creating maximum conditions for candidates to choose according to their academic strengths.
With the admission method using high school transcripts, candidates can choose one of five forms of considering the average score of three subjects in the 10th, 11th and 12th semesters. Regardless of the form chosen, the quality assurance threshold is from 18 points or more after adding priority points if any.

For Nursing, according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , candidates must have a good academic record in grade 12 or an average score of 6.5 or higher in high school subjects or a combination of subjects for admission must have a score of 19.5 or higher.
The Vocal and Piano majors require a Literature score of 5 points or higher and are required to take a separate exam organized by the school. Special admission combinations such as M20, M21 (Directing major) or V00, H01 (Film and Television Technology major) require an average score of 10 points for both subjects, along with an aptitude test.
In the admission method using the Competency Assessment exam scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University, VHU takes the standard score from 600 points for all majors, except Nursing, Vocal Music and Piano.
Attractive scholarships for new students up to 60% of first semester tuition
In 2025, myU will launch the myU Program for candidates registering their first choice to Van Hien University on the Ministry of Education and Training's Information Portal with attractive incentives: 60% discount on first semester tuition (including 3 million myU coins) for candidates who have registered to apply to the school from April 21 to July 15; 50% discount on first semester tuition for candidates who have not registered to apply to the school.
Joining myU membership is an important key to help candidates maintain their valuable scholarships and fully enjoy the privileges that VHU and the myU learning support platform bring.
Candidates who complete the registration and pay the membership fee on time will be recognized as eligible to receive support from myU - a direct financial incentive to pay the tuition fee for Semester 1 upon admission and enrollment according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. The program is applicable until July 22, 2025.
In addition, Van Hien University is applying a tuition reduction policy of 10% to 25% if students pay tuition in advance for 1 year to the entire course. At the same time, students aged 26 and over receive a 35% reduction to 100% tuition exemption, depending on age.
In addition, students with siblings who have studied or are studying at the school will receive a 20% discount on full tuition (applied to one person).
In 2025, Van Hien University continues to offer many rich scholarships for new students. Among them, the talent scholarship is for the top students of the whole school (100% tuition exemption), the second best student (50% discount) and the top students of all majors (30% discount).

The “Wings of Dreams” scholarship is aimed at new students with difficult circumstances and aspirations to rise up. Students whose relatives are staff, lecturers of the school or belong to the Hung Hau ecosystem are also considered for separate scholarships.
There are also scholarships for Youth Union and Association officials, scholarships for encouraging learning based on academic results and Hoang Nhu Mai scholarships for disadvantaged students with good or better academic performance.
In particular, new students are also given many free accompanying services such as parking fees, administration, backpacks, and gym uniforms in the first school year.
