According to EVNCPC Deputy General Director Nguyen Huu Khanh, December 2024 and January 2025 are the peak production periods for the Lunar New Year; at the same time, it is also the time of entering the dry season in the Central Highlands, causing electricity consumption in this region to increase.

Accordingly, the maximum load capacity in the region is forecast to reach 3,888 MW, with an average daily consumption of about 69.2 million kWh. Localities with high electricity consumption include Da Nang (9.23 million kWh), Quang Ngai (8.10 million kWh), Khanh Hoa (7.64 million kWh) and Quang Nam (7.36 million kWh).

EVNCPC is expected to receive 3,372 MW from the national power system. In addition, power sources under the control of distribution dispatch levels will also be fully utilized, including about 546 MW from small hydropower and 1,584 MW from solar power during peak hours.

EVNCPC requires member Power Companies to carefully prepare resources to ensure safe and continuous power supply, especially for enterprises producing goods for the Lunar New Year 2025. Units coordinate with the Central Power System Dispatch Center to develop priority plans to ensure power supply for production and processing facilities serving Tet and important customers approved by the Provincial and Municipal People's Committees.

According to EVNCPC, to cope with extreme weather conditions, the unit has increased inspections, overcome shortcomings and handled risks of grid corridor violations. Power companies in the region are required to be ready to quickly handle incidents, ensuring stable and reliable power supply for customers.

Units also promote the application of hot electrical repair equipment, performing insulation cleaning without power outages to minimize interruptions in power supply. At the same time, EVNCPC strengthens coordination between units on the grid, determined not to let power outages occur, disrupting production activities and people's lives during peak periods.

“With drastic solutions, EVNCPC is determined to complete the task of ensuring power supply for production and daily life during the Lunar New Year 2025, contributing to promoting socio -economic development in the Central and Central Highlands regions,” Mr. Khanh affirmed.
