According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 7:00 a.m. on August 28, the center of the tropical depression was located at about 15.7 degrees North latitude; 116.0 degrees East longitude in the eastern sea area of the North East Sea.
The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6-7 (39-61 km/h), gusting to level 9. Moving southwest at a speed of about 15 km/h.
Commenting specifically on the development of the tropical depression, Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said that as of 7:00 a.m. on August 29, the tropical depression in the Hoang Sa special zone sea area had strong winds of level 7, gusts of level 9; moving in the West-Northwest direction at a speed of about 15-20 km/h and was likely to strengthen.
The affected area is the North East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone). Disaster risk level 3.
At 7:00 a.m. on August 30, the tropical depression in the sea area of Nghe An - Da Nang with strong winds of level 7, gusts of level 9; moving in the West Northwest direction at a speed of 20 km/h. The affected area is the North East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone, the sea area from Nghe An to Da Nang). Natural disaster risk level 3.
In the next 48-72 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move mainly in the West direction, about 20km per hour and gradually weaken.
Due to the impact of the tropical depression, the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) has strong winds of level 6-7, gusts of level 9, waves 2-4m high, and rough seas.
Vessels operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected./.
