This year's Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day has the message: Good books need readers; Precious books are gifts for friends; Give good books - Buy real books; Good books: Eyes read - Ears listen.

The event space displays models of six Vietnamese historical books through the ages; using lighting technology to demonstrate and introduce the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam. This year's Book Day is expected to have about 60,000 participating units displaying, introducing and providing readers with over 40,000 books.

On the opening day of April 17, there will be an exhibition of valuable books on national historical relics, photos and works about the country and people of Vietnam on modern electronic versions and direct publications. The Book Fair will also have many seminars, book introductions; exchanges with authors and works; and art programs to attract a large number of people of all ages.

The Exhibition and Book Fair on the national digital platform vietnam.vn is held from April 15 to 30, with the theme Good books find readers , serving Vietnamese people abroad and international friends.

The launching ceremony of Youth Reading Day took place on the morning of April 19 at the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, Hanoi . The activity aims to encourage and develop the reading movement in the community, especially among the young generation, creating a favorable reading environment, forming reading habits in families, schools, agencies and organizations.

Vietnam Book Day was first held in 2014. Three years later, the Government changed the name to Book and Reading Culture Day, aiming to spread the habit of reading in society. In 2022, the event will be held nationwide after a two-year delay due to the pandemic. Last year, Book Day opened at Quoc Tu Giam (Thua Thien Hue History Museum).
