- The 2025 High School Graduation Exam in Lang Son province will officially take place from June 25 to 27, 2025. In preparation for the exam, in addition to professional and organizational factors, medical work and food safety and hygiene are also given special attention. This is one of the important factors to ensure the health of candidates and officers performing the exam, contributing to the safety and effectiveness of the exam.
According to the plan, the high school graduation exam will take place from June 25 to June 27 at 22 exam locations with nearly 10,000 candidates registered to take the exam. In order for the exam to take place safely, ensuring good health care for candidates, teachers and forces participating in organizing the exam, the Provincial People's Committee issued Directive No. 07/CT-UBND dated April 26, 2025 on strengthening the direction and coordination of the organization of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in Lang Son province.
Mr. Ly Kim Soi, Deputy Director of Lang Son Department of Health, said: Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Health has developed a plan to ensure health care for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam with key contents including: controlling food safety, environmental sanitation, preventing diseases such as acute diarrhea, flu, dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, respiratory infections, COVID-19, not allowing food poisoning or outbreaks in exam areas. 100% of the Examination Councils are assigned a permanent medical team, ready to handle situations such as accidents, poisoning, and illness.
The Department also requested the medical centers of districts and cities to take charge in their areas, while the Provincial General Hospital provided support in Lang Son city. Medical units coordinated with the examination sites to agree on the time and location of medical duty, advised on the arrangement of medical duty locations ready to receive, handle and treat cases of patients who are students and exam supervisors when there is a medical situation requiring intervention; fully prepared medicines, equipment, supplies and arranged specialized human resources to coordinate with on-site school medical staff. Thereby ensuring good medical work throughout the examination period.
Up to now, 100% of the examination sites have been assigned 1 doctor and 1 nurse to serve the examination. At the examination sites, medical staff are on duty to perform tasks such as: first aid, initial medical examination and treatment, ensuring environmental hygiene, disease prevention, food safety and being ready to respond to emergency situations. In addition, mobile emergency teams and ambulances are also on duty to support and meet the professional requirements of the Examination Councils.
Mr. Be Van Khanh, Director of Trang Dinh District Medical Center, said: Trang Dinh District has 1 examination site, to ensure medical care for the exam, the center has sent 1 doctor and 1 nurse to be on duty at the examination site in the district. The medical staff assigned are all qualified and have professional qualifications, coordinating with the on-site school health department, organizing emergency care at each examination site in the area, at the same time fully preparing equipment, essential medicines and emergency tools on-site, ensuring medical care for the exam.
In addition, medical facilities also coordinate with units to organize inspections and supervision of food hygiene and safety in Lang Son City before and during the exam; propagate food hygiene and safety at food service establishments, restaurants serving candidates and their relatives near exam locations and exam clusters; strengthen propaganda on disease prevention and control, food hygiene and safety to parents, students, exam invigilators and exam service staff, food producers, processors, traders, food service providers, etc.
Along with the health sector, schools that are exam sites in the province also focus on ensuring medical care for candidates and exam staff. Mr. Dang Ngoc Tu, Principal of Hoang Van Thu High School, Lang Son City, said: For this year's exam, Hoang Van Thu High School has 672 candidates with 29 exam rooms. The school always puts the health of candidates and exam staff first. Before the exam, we proactively prepared enough medicine, medical equipment and arranged medical staff for the school and coordinated with medical staff from the Provincial General Hospital to be on duty during the exam. At the same time, the school signed a contract with a unit that provides guaranteed meals and carefully checked food hygiene and safety for the staff performing the exam.
Close coordination between forces, along with adequate human resources preparation and timely response plans for medical situations arising during the exam will help candidates complete their exams with peace of mind. As an independent candidate taking the 2025 High School Graduation Exam at the Chi Lang Secondary School exam site in Lang Son city, Duong Phuong Uyen, residing in Tran Yen commune, Bac Son district, did not have any parents to take her to the exam, so she had to take care of herself and pay attention to her health before and during the exam.
Phuong Uyen shared: I often have intestinal problems, so on the days leading up to the exam, I eat very carefully, not eating strange foods to maintain my health. I also know that at the exam site there are always doctors and nurses on duty, ready to assist if a medical situation arises, so I feel very secure and more confident when entering the exam room.
With the initiative of relevant levels, sectors and units, the 2025 high school graduation exam in the province is expected to take place safely and smoothly. Candidates and officials on duty at the exam are all guaranteed health, contributing to creating conditions for the exam to achieve high results.
