Coffee exports in the first 6 months of the year increased by 67.5% in value

(GLO)- According to a report by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in the first 6 months of 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports reached a turnover of 5.45 billion USD, an increase of 67.5% in value over the same period last year and by July 3, it had exceeded the record figure of the whole year 2024.

specifically, the coffee export volume in June was about 130 thousand tons with a value of 741.1 million USD; bringing the total coffee export volume and value in the first 6 months of 2025 to 953.9 thousand tons and 5.45 billion USD, up 5.3% in volume and 67.5% in value over the same period in 2024.

The average export coffee price in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated at 5,708.3 USD/ton, an increase of 59.1% over the same period in 2024.

Germany, Italy and Spain are the three largest coffee consuming markets of Vietnam, accounting for 16.3%, 7.9% and 7.4% market shares respectively. Compared to the same period last year, the value of coffee exports in the first 5 months of 2025 to the German market increased by 2.2 times, to the Italian market by 45.1%, and to the Spanish market by 55.8%. A record increase was recorded in the Mexican market with an increase of up to 71.6 times.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment forecasts that Vietnam's coffee exports for the whole year of 2025 will "certainly" reach 7.5 billion USD, far exceeding the target set at the beginning of the year.
