What to expect from the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro?

Xiaomi has confirmed its plans for its high-end tablet later this month. The Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro will feature the company's XRing O1 chipset and the design and key specifications of the device have also been revealed.

After releasing the Pad 7 Ultra in China last month, Xiaomi has confirmed plans to add another high-end tablet. This new tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro, is expected to launch this month and will be another device powered by the company's in-house chipset, the XRing O1.

However, as previously reported, the Pad 7S Pro will be positioned below the Pad 7 Ultra but above the Pad 7 Pro that launched earlier this year.

Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro configuration parameters

Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro has a 12.5-inch LCD screen, thin four-sided bezels, delicately rounded corners and a body only 5.8 mm thick. The entire body uses a monolithic metal design, giving it a premium and sturdy look.

Inside, the device is equipped with a huge 10,160 mAh battery, supporting 120 W fast charging, ensuring long-lasting use and extremely fast recharging.

The device will run HyperOS 2.0 on top of Android 15, offering a PC-like software experience optimized for productivity and multitasking. It is also said to feature “PC-grade” software and a floating keyboard, although it's unclear what the company means by that.

Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro supports Xiaomi Pen stylus and comes with a new floating keyboard, integrating high-precision metal hinges and a large trackpad, turning the device into a real laptop-like experience.

Floating keyboard design similar to Apple's Magic Keyboard

The tablet will come with a magnetically-protected keyboard of the same color, which can be folded to act as a stand, making it easy for users to view content and type. The design of this keyboard immediately reminds users of Apple's Magic Keyboard.

In particular, this new tablet model also supports mounting a car mount, something that the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra cannot do, helping to make the most of the Xring O1 platform in moving situations.

According to insiders, Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro may launch alongside Redmi K80 Ultra and Redmi K Pad at Xiaomi's big event taking place at the end of June in China.
