U.23 Vietnam STARTS TO FORM A FRAMEWORK
Most of the faces of U.23 Vietnam have been tested in 2 friendly matches with U.23 Taiwan. Among them, there were successful experiments with many stable performances from key players, impressive debuts from rookies. But there were still some names that brought disappointment.

With 7 goals scored against the opponent after 2 matches, the mark of the attack line is of course very prominent. Especially the excellence of young striker Quoc Viet, who has scored 2 goals in many different roles. Obviously, with being on the field up to 20 matches in the first division this season and scoring 5 goals in the Ninh Binh club shirt, it shows the steady maturity of the young talent from Nutifood JMG. The impressive performance of Quoc Viet and the breakthrough of Thanh Nhan are becoming bright signals for U.23 Vietnam. Other factors such as Le Viktor, Van Truong, Phi Hoang have also scored in turn, proving the uniformity and diversity of the attack line. In particular, Van Truong creates confidence, because he has shown remarkable maturity when playing steadily in both the central midfielder and center forward positions, meeting many tactical requirements of coach Kim Sang-sik.

Another bright spot of U.23 Vietnam in the early stages is the progress of Phi Hoang (scoring 1 goal in the 5-0 victory over U.23 Taiwan). Phi Hoang created a breakthrough with his skillful left foot and can improve even more in the future because he always shows his full desire to contribute. It is impossible not to mention Khuat Van Khang, whose talent is increasingly affirmed, will help the U.23 Vietnam attack become more diverse and have more depth. The midfielder of The Cong Viettel always has strange and extremely unpredictable moves.
During this training session, the defense has not been under too much pressure, but the framework has stabilized with 3 central defenders: Le Van Ha (1.84 m tall), Hieu Minh (1.84 m), Nhat Minh (1.78 m). Hieu Minh was voted the best young player of the first division in the 2024 - 2025 season.
SHARP ATTACK PIECES
With a stable framework, Mr. Kim and his colleagues boldly experimented with a proactive ball control and attack style of play. The results of both practice matches with Taiwan showed that the young players demonstrated a beautiful and effective style of play. The even force and good quality of players helped U.23 Vietnam easily dominate the match, control and circulate the ball in a diverse and smooth way, from which many attacking strategies were deployed, many opportunities were created and goals came as a matter of course.
Viktor Le gradually gained trust.

Importantly, U.23 Vietnam has a way to approach the opponent's goal from many directions. It can be from the two wings with the speed and suddenness of Phi Hoang and Van Cuong. Or the central attacks with the coordination skills of Van Truong - Quoc Viet - Le Viktor. And also from the high-damage free kicks of Khuat Van Khang. All of these things help coach Kim's team become comprehensive and difficult to control.
Of course, in the early stages, there were still some dark colors such as the lackluster performances of highly anticipated players such as Dinh Bac, overseas Vietnamese player Bui Alex or new recruit Ngoc My. But overall, U.23 Vietnam has left certain good impressions. The initial plans have been completed: the framework is stable, the playing style has begun to take shape and achieved quite impressive standards in terms of expertise. Hopefully, in the next stage, everything will continue to be favorable for U.23 Vietnam to complete important tasks in 2025, the first of which is the U.23 Southeast Asian tournament.
