According to Thanh Hong Commune Agricultural Service Cooperative, the rate of pomelo fruiting is only about 70%, down about 15% compared to last year. The reason is due to unfavorable weather, when the fruit is set, there is a lot of salt rain causing the fruit to fall and spoil.

Currently, farmers are focusing on spraying pesticides to prevent red spider mites, aphids, and frost. This year, the locality continues to complete the dossier to build peach grapefruit as an OCOP product.

Thanh Hong commune currently has 130 hectares of grapefruit, concentrated in Lap Le village. The whole commune has 40 hectares of grapefruit with VietGAP certification. This is the commune that grows the most grapefruit in Thanh Ha district. In recent years, Thanh Hong grapefruit has been introduced into the supermarket system, bringing high economic value to the people.
