According to the Washington Post , on April 10, General Cavoli expressed deep concern to US House members about the current situation in Ukraine.

He stressed that the conflict in Ukraine is at a critical stage and predicted that Russia could immediately have a 10-fold advantage in the number of artillery shells compared to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU).

According to him, if the US does not immediately increase military assistance, including approving additional military funding for Ukraine, there is a high risk that Kiev will be at a significant disadvantage in the conflict due to insufficient artillery ammunition.

Affirming that "the side that cannot return fire will lose", the US general also emphasized the crucial importance of artillery reserves to the outcome of the conflict.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Defense One magazine quoted US Defense Secretary Assistant John Plumb as saying that the Pentagon is actively cooperating with Ukraine and SpaceX to try to prevent the Russian military from using the Starlink satellite communications system terminal.

He also admitted that the Pentagon cannot force SpaceX to stop serving satellites owned by the Russian Federation.

Previously, the Pentagon paid $23 million to billionaire Elon Musk's SpaceX company to provide Starlink terminals to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) until May 2024.
