The 2nd Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week and Marathon in 2020 was directed by the Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee and assigned to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with provincial departments, branches, sectors, unions, units, localities in the province and related organizations and individuals to implement.
The 2nd Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week and Marathon 2025 is organized to continue effectively implementing the tasks and solutions of Resolution No. 04-NQ/TU dated February 17, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural identities of ethnic groups associated with tourism development in the period of 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030. Raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and people on preserving and promoting fine traditional cultural identities associated with tourism development.

In addition, promote the movement of practicing and competing in sports in general and Marathon running in particular, thereby promoting the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and promoting the role, meaning and effects of physical exercise, improving health, improving the quality of life, building a healthy lifestyle and cultural environment.
The 2nd Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week and Marathon 2025 is expected to take place over 3 days, from October 3 - 5, 2025 at Lai Chau Provincial People's Square.
With the theme "Returning to the majestic Lai Chau peaks" (expected), the Tourism - Culture Week will take place with many attractive activities such as: Opening and closing programs of Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week in 2025; Organizing the 2nd Lai Chau Marathon in 2025; Organizing and awarding prizes for the beautiful photo and clip contest on tourism in Lai Chau province; Cultural exchange program of 03 countries Vietnam - China - Laos and performance of traditional costumes of ethnic groups in Lai Chau province; Space to display and introduce the culture of ethnic groups living in Lai Chau province and exhibition of books, newspapers, documents on Lai Chau geography...
The opening ceremony of Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2025 is expected to take place on the evening of October 3 at Lai Chau Provincial People's Square and will be broadcast live on the provincial Radio and Television Station and rebroadcast on Radio and Television Stations of some provinces.
