From trend to urgent need

The intersection of technology and finance is fundamentally changing the way services such as electronic payments, blockchain, and digital asset management are delivered, operated, and accessed. Fintech is no longer a future trend, but has become an essential requirement in the modern financial and banking ecosystem.

In Vietnam, the first financial technology models were digital payment (e-wallets) which appeared in 2009. Along with that, the plan to build an international financial market in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang identified the financial technology center as one of the four pillars.

To develop the fintech ecosystem in Vietnam, skilled, high-quality human resources are especially necessary. A financial center in general and fintech in particular not only requires human resources in the financial sector, but the future workforce in financial services will include software engineers or data scientists , or human resources in the digital environment. In addition, there is human capital in fields supporting financial services such as lawyers, accountants, auditors, etc.
