According to the People's Daily of China, at the conference, relevant agencies of the three countries reached a series of consensuses on strengthening law enforcement cooperation of the police forces and will continue to cooperate in cracking down on telecommunications fraud crimes in Myawaddy and other locations in Myanmar, dismantling syndicates, arresting all involved in telecommunications fraud, and resolutely eliminating the ground for telecommunications and Internet fraud crimes.

It is known that since the beginning of the year, relevant agencies of China, Myanmar and Thailand have coordinated to launch strong campaigns against telecommunications fraud crimes in the Myawaddy region, arresting and repatriating more than 5,400 related subjects of Chinese nationality.

In February this year, Chinese actor Wong Jing was taken to the Thai-Myanmar border by a gang of con artists. Under pressure from China, Thai and Myanmar authorities coordinate the largest rescue operation ever.

By cutting off the internet, fuel and electricity supply in Myawaddy, authorities successfully dismantled several fraud syndicates and rescued many victims.
