Specifically, Sacombank stopped operating 5 transaction offices in Ho Chi Minh City from June 30, according to the policy approved by the Board of Directors, including transaction offices in Hoa Thanh, Hoang Hoa Tham, Thong Tay Hoi, Nguyen Cong Tru and Hoa Hung.
Previously, in March and April 2025, Sacombank also closed 4 transaction offices in Hanoi and several other provinces and cities.
Thus, within 3 months (from March to June 2025), Sacombank has stopped operating 9 transaction offices.
According to the financial report for the first quarter of 2025, Sacombank has 1 head office, 109 branches and 437 transaction offices nationwide.
The bank also changed its workforce by reducing 970 employees, from over 18,000 to over 17,000.
Previously, at the annual general meeting of shareholders at the end of April 2025, Mr. Duong Cong Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sacombank, said that the bank is investing heavily in digital transformation.
In 2024, Sacombank began cutting staff and this plan will continue to be implemented in the period 2025-2026. The number of traditional transaction offices is expected to gradually decrease, making way for transaction activities in the digital space.
