Opening of the First Session, 10th Provincial People's Council

On the morning of July 2, the People's Council of Vinh Long province held the opening ceremony of the First Session of the People's Council of the 10th term, 2021-2026. This is the first session of the People's Council after the arrangement to consider and resolve issues related to organizational structure, personnel work and decide on a number of important issues within its authority.

Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Le Van Han - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province; Mr. Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Lam Minh Dang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province, representatives of the National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province; and 136/148 delegates of the Provincial People's Council attended the meeting.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council heard the announcement of the number of Provincial People's Council delegates after the arrangement; heard the announcement of the Resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee on personnel work. At the same time, considered and gave opinions on 04 submissions and passed 4 resolutions on: Establishing Committees of the Provincial People's Council; Establishing the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council; Establishing specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee and the Resolution on the Plan to organize regular meetings in 2025 of the Vinh Long Provincial People's Council.

In order for the session to take place on time, achieving quality, efficiency and requirements of the Provincial People's Council's activities, Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the delegates to promote the spirit of responsibility, promote democracy, carefully study the documents presented at the session, actively participate in discussions, review, contribute opinions, express views on each content, each issue that is still concerned, focus on issues with different opinions, discuss enthusiastically, give advice, contribute many dedicated and quality opinions so that all the contents in the session's agenda are considered and approved with the highest unity and consensus, meeting the requirements of practice and the political tasks, expectations of voters and people of the province.
