The project to protect and promote the value of the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, Vi and Giam folk songs of Nghe Tinh, Nghe An province, for the period 2026 - 2030, is chaired by the People's Committee of Nghe An province, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province. Currently, the project has been completed according to the agreement and comments of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Cultural Heritage Council.

In 2014, Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs were recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The project aims to solve urgent problems in the practice of preserving and promoting values, and to fulfill the commitment to be recognized by UNESCO.

The project aims to have 90% of commune/ward level administrative units practicing Vi and Giam folk songs established clubs by 2030 in the delta region and 30% of mountainous areas. The goal is to establish 2-3 more clubs in other provinces and 1-2 clubs abroad.

Nghe An province also focuses on reviewing, adjusting and supplementing mechanisms and policies in particular to ensure that they are suitable for practical requirements. This includes building mechanisms and policies to support and encourage artists and artisans who are holding and organizing practice and transmission; supporting operating costs and investing in facilities for art clubs/teams.

In particular, Nghe An continues to exploit and promote the form of dramatization. Build and organize performance programs at the Center for Heritage Conservation and Promotion (Vinh City) in the form of daily shows (at least once a week and gradually becoming daily).

Along with that, invest in new forms of expression for performing arts stage; build heritage connecting itineraries associated with tourism development. In particular, focus on building and developing the "Returning to Vi and Giam region" tour, connecting typical tourist destinations.
