Today, March 20, in Hai Truong commune, Hai Lang district, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) held a ceremony to launch the construction of the Quang Tri 500kV transformer station project and the Quang Tri - Vung Ang - Da Nang connecting line. This is an urgent power project in the National Power Development Plan with the aim of ensuring power supply for regional loads; releasing the capacity of Quang Tri Power Plant and Hai Lang LNG Plant into the national grid system and improving the reliability and safety of power supply for the regional grid.
The project scale includes the construction of a 500 kV transformer station to supply transmission voltage: 500 kV and 220 kV; capacity of 2 transformers 500kV-2x(3x300)MVA. Construction of the 500 kV Quang Tri line is connected to and from the existing 500 kV Da Nang - Ha Tinh and Da Nang - Vung Ang lines, including 2 branches with a total length of 5.9 km and a 22 kV self-contained line with a length of 3.6 km.
The total investment of the project is nearly 966 billion VND, of which the cost of compensation for site clearance is more than 26 billion VND, the construction cost is more than 342.5 billion VND, the equipment cost is nearly 351 billion VND and other expenses... The project is expected to be completed and energized in the second quarter of 2025.
Speaking at the construction launch ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien affirmed that this is an important project for the energy development policy of Quang Tri province. Due to the pressure of completion time, the investor and the construction unit are requested to overcome all difficulties, establish a detailed schedule of work items, closely monitor the construction site to urge and supervise, promptly resolve problems to speed up the progress as well as ensure the quality of the project.
Hai Lang district must consider this an important project in the area to actively coordinate with relevant units to do a good job of handing over the site, promote propaganda to the people, not to let houses and constructions arise in the corridor of the agreed power line, and create favorable conditions to support construction units to implement on schedule.
