Báo Gia đình và Xã hộiBáo Gia đình và Xã hội06/11/2024

GĐXH - Dishes with horrifying combinations like shrimp paste milk tea, beef pearl milk tea noodles, green onion milk tea, etc. are dishes that were once so popular that they gave many people 'goosebumps' when mentioned.

Just hearing the name of the dish makes me feel "poisoned"

Culinary culture always aims for harmony, distinctive flavors and nutritional factors. This means that culinary culture always meets two criteria: delicious and good for human health. However, recently, the way of creating strange dishes that 'just hearing the name makes you want to get poisoned' has become a trend.

Beef pearl milk tea noodles, dried fish milk tea, green onion milk tea, pork offal lemon tea,... are a series of dishes combined with 'weird' recipes that were once a popular keyword on social networks with a series of videos following.

In recent times, the online community has experienced countless 'fever' like this. The more horrifying the combination of dishes, the more likely they are to become a 'hot trend'. When they become hot keywords, a series of Youtubers and TikTokers will compete to film clips to try them so as not to be considered behind the times.

Although knowing clearly that no one can 'swallow' those items, everyone understands that this is just a way for restaurants, cafes,... to attract views or likes to review their establishments. Even many people know very well that these are 'nonsense' trends but still follow them because they don't want to miss the opportunity to get views,...

Do horror fusion food trends affect culinary culture?

Are horror food fusions ruining food culture?

The art of preparing food and drinks always aims for harmony and nutrition, the combination of ingredients to bring the best taste to the enjoyer. However, by following short-term trends, are people ignoring the fact that creating horrifying products is gradually destroying culinary culture?

Fusion dishes such as beef pearl milk tea noodles or shrimp paste milk tea not only damage aesthetic thinking but also threaten human health. However, this is a 'trend' that young people compete to follow. Meanwhile, cuisine also reflects the beauty of history, culture, the harmony between humans and nature...

Speaking to the press, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duy Thinh, former lecturer at the Institute of Food Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, assessed that these are unscientific eating trends. According to Mr. Thinh, the nature of sweet milk tea is often mixed with jelly and tapioca pearls to reduce the sweetness. Adding green onions and shrimp paste to milk tea not only causes a loss of flavor, but the contrasting spices can lead to digestive disorders and diarrhea.

In the era of technological development, people spend a lot of time working, entertaining, interacting on social networking platforms,... It can be seen that social networks no longer seem to be a virtual world but can be considered our real living space. Therefore, the content spread on social networks needs to be regulated by law and the rules of civilized society.

The rise of horrifying dishes such as shrimp paste combined with milk tea, milk tea with tapioca beef noodles, lemon tea with pig intestines,... not only affects aesthetics but also affects the way people receive new values... These things need to be adjusted, should not appear in a civilized and developed society.
