Awarding ceremony of the composition campaign "HCMC - 50 years of proud heroic epic"

The campaign was organized and launched by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in July 2023. After more than 1 year of launching, it received 630 works from 434 authors.

The announcement and award ceremony of the Campaign to compose, stage and promote literary and artistic works towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) with the theme "HCMC - 50 years of proud heroic epic" took place on the evening of December 30, at the City Theater.

The campaign was organized and launched by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in July 2023. After more than 1 year of launching, it received 630 works from 434 authors across the country participating in many fields: cinema, music , theater, literature, photography, fine arts, architecture, dance... bringing many works of high ideological and artistic value; diverse and rich in form and content - expressing a strong aspiration for a Ho Chi Minh City to reach new heights in the future, while preserving the identity of the city with many unique cultural features.

Accordingly, the collectives and individuals were awarded the following prizes: "Following the Footsteps of the People" in the memoir genre, author Trinh Quang Phu - first prize in literature; "Saigon Fire" in the reformed opera genre, author Pham Duong My Thu Huyen - first prize in the theater field; "Sac Forest Special Forces" in the feature film genre, by Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company - first prize in cinema; "Spring returns to the city named after Uncle Ho" in the single photo genre, author Pham Thi Quynh Nga (pen name Moon Cactus); "Saigon Black & White" in the photo book/photo series genre, author Hoang Trung Thuy - two first prizes in the photography field; "Hello 50 years of the radiant city named after Him" ​​in the song genre, author Tran Xuan Mai Tram (pen name: Mai Tram); "My city - Proud aspiration" in the choir genre, author Tran Le Tra Thanh - two first prizes in the music field...

From 2025, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City will coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize propaganda and promote the works that won high prizes in this campaign to spread the value of the works to the public, practically celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
