Hai Phong City has more than 3.7 million people participating in health insurance.

According to Social Insurance Region XIII, by the end of June 2025, the number of people participating in health insurance in Hai Phong City was more than 3.7 million people, reaching 96.18% of the plan assigned by Vietnam Social Insurance.

By the end of June 2025, the number of people participating in compulsory social insurance in Hai Phong City was 926,992, reaching 97.92% of the plan assigned by Vietnam Social Security. The number of people participating in voluntary social insurance was 89,495, reaching 74.67% of the plan, an increase of 3,763 people compared to the same period in 2024. The number of people participating in unemployment insurance was 892,032, reaching 94.23% of the plan.

The number of people participating in health insurance is 3.7 million people, reaching 96.18% of the plan assigned by Vietnam Social Security.

Social Insurance of Region XIII made timely, complete and correct payments, ensuring the rights of social insurance beneficiaries with a total amount of VND 10,428,641 billion. Timely resolved 188,846 social insurance benefit applications and 12,292 unemployment benefit applications.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Social Insurance of Region XIII inspected, examined and urged 673 units to delay paying social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance for 3 months or more with a total amount of 182.9 billion VND.

Social Insurance of Binh Giang district and old Thuy Nguyen city received the Emulation Flag from the Ministry of Finance for its outstanding achievements, leading the emulation movement of the Finance sector in 2024.

At the conference to review the work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2025, the Social Insurance of Region XIII determined to accelerate the standardization of data on management of social insurance beneficiaries; well manage health insurance medical examination and treatment costs, and strive to prevent abnormal expenditure indexes. Continue to innovate communication work, focusing on new points of the revised Law on Social Insurance and Health Insurance. Proactively and flexibly respond to arising situations, in accordance with the 2-level local government model.

On this occasion, authorized by the Minister of Finance, Social Insurance Region XIII awarded the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Finance to Social Insurance of Binh Giang district and Thuy Nguyen city (old) for their outstanding achievements, leading the emulation movement of the Finance sector in 2024.

Authorized by the Director of Vietnam Social Security, Social Security Region XIII awarded the Emulation Flag to Social Security of Hong Bang and Do Son districts (old).

Hong Bang and Do Son District Social Insurance (old) received the Emulation Flag of Vietnam Social Insurance for their outstanding achievements and leading the patriotic emulation movement in 2024.
