Attending the rehearsal were comrade Nguyen Minh Luan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, along with leaders of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, leaders of the Provincial Newspaper and Radio - Television Station, and representatives of relevant departments and branches.
With the theme “ Ca Mau : Solidarity - Development - Firm steps towards the future”, the program was elaborately and grandly staged, consisting of 3 main parts, recreating the development journey, cultural exchange and integration aspirations of the two southernmost provinces of the country.
The program opened with the performance "On Minh Hai homeland", recalling common memories of a historical period, marking a milestone connecting the past and present, thereby opening a new development journey after the merger.
Part one “Echoes of Proud Melody” brings the audience back to the typical images of the southernmost land: vast mangrove forests, vast white salt fields and modern wind turbines rising up into the ocean. Through singing and dancing performances combined with vivid images, the program recreates the process of formation, development and strong integration of the two provinces. This is a harmony of companionship, national pride and aspirations to reach far.
Part two “One River” honors the rich spiritual life and unique culture of the Kinh – Khmer – Chinese ethnic communities in Ca Mau and Bac Lieu. Each ethnic group has its own color, blending together in a common space full of affection.
Familiar melodies such as "Da co hoai lang", "Tinh anh ban chieu"... are performed with emotion, imbued with the Southern character, reviving folk art values in the hearts of the public.
At the same time, the video clip introducing key projects being implemented after the merger has further instilled confidence in a new look for the homeland in the near future.
“Aspiration to Reach Far” - the program ended with a vibrant, modern performance, combining sound, light and brilliant fireworks effects. The performances reflected the spirit of innovation, aspiration to rise and comprehensive integration of the southernmost land.
From the sweet echoes of the Bac Lieu River to the bustling sounds of the coastal industrial zones of Ca Mau, the program is a harmonious symphony of tradition and modernity. The message is clearly conveyed: today's young generation is the inheritor and successor, the one who preserves the soul of the homeland, and at the same time ignites the aspiration to develop a rich, civilized and sustainable homeland.
The program will be broadcast live on the Newspaper and Radio and Television channels of Ca Mau (CTV) and Bac Lieu (BTV), and streamed online on digital platforms, attracting widespread attention from people in the two provinces and the whole country.
In Bac Lieu, the event took place simultaneously at Hung Vuong Square (Ward 1, Bac Lieu City), as a symbol of connecting the spiritual and cultural space between the two localities. This is not only a large-scale artistic activity, but also an important milestone in the process of building a unified land with dynamic development and rich identity.
At the end of the rehearsal, comrade Nguyen Minh Luan, along with leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ca Mau Radio and Television Station and representatives of related units, met to review experiences to ensure the live TV program on the evening of June 30 was a great success.
