Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su presented the certificate of recognition from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee recognizing Ly Van Lam commune as meeting the model new-style rural standards in 2024.

Ly Van Lam commune achieved the new rural commune standard in 2014. Continuing to promote this achievement, by 2021 the commune achieved the advanced standard and has now become the first commune in the province to be recognized as a model new rural commune.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su presented the emulation flag to the Party Committee, government and people of Ly Van Lam commune.

Ms. Cao Hong Cam, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ly Van Lam Commune, said: “After being recognized by the People's Committee of Ca Mau Province as meeting the advanced new rural standards, it is required to promote the construction and improvement of the model new rural area after 2025, while continuing to improve the quality of the criteria achieved in the first phase (2021-2025) to ensure a real improvement in the material and spiritual life of the people, towards building a prosperous agriculture , rich farmers, and civilized countryside. From there, the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Ly Van Lam Commune focused on mobilizing all social resources to participate, in which resources from the people and local resources play a decisive role; always staying close to the people, all criteria are brought to the people for discussion and decision, thereby creating high consensus among the people, through the people's opinions, gradually perfecting and improving the quality of appropriate criteria.

The above results have brought a new look and new vitality to the lives of the people of Ly Van Lam commune. Currently, all commune and hamlet roads in the area have been asphalted and concreted, and people have planted trees and flowers on both sides of the road, and installed lighting systems to ensure light - green - clean - beautiful. Ly Van Lam commune has 2 main crops (rice and watermelon), with concentrated commodity production areas, ensuring quality, food safety, effective business, and adaptation to climate change; the commune has 2 cooperatives operating under the Law on Cooperatives 2023, effectively linking up to do business. The average income per capita has increased from 60 million VND/person/year in 2021 to 86.71 million VND/person/year.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su said that this is a valuable asset and a meaningful gift for the unit when moving to a new turning point. Ly Van Lam commune is in the top group in building a commune that meets the standards of a new-style rural commune in 2014 and has continued to maintain its achievements as a pioneer in reaching the finish line of a model new-style rural commune, contributing to the achievements of building new-style rural communes for the city and the province.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 8 individuals; the People's Committee of Ca Mau city awarded certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in directing and implementing the construction of Ly Van Lam commune to meet the new rural standards in 2024.

Up to this point, Ca Mau province has 69/82 communes meeting new rural standards, accounting for 84.14%; 11/69 communes meeting advanced new rural standards, accounting for 15.94% and Ly Van Lam commune is the first commune in the province to achieve model new rural standards.
