Many meaningful activities to celebrate Independence Day in Ca Mau

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), Border Guard Squadron 2 (under the Border Guard Command, Military Command of Ca Mau province) coordinated with the Hiep Thanh Ward Youth Union to organize many practical activities, bringing a joyful and warm atmosphere to the people in the coastal border area.

• Border Guard Squadron 2 promptly rescued fishermen in distress at sea.

Accordingly, the two units presented 20 gifts to policy families in Hiep Thanh ward; 90 gifts to students who overcame difficulties to study well, including rice, necessities and school bags. In particular, the delegation visited the Bac Lieu Social Protection Center, visited and presented 75 gifts with the theme "Sweet candy - dispelling bitterness" to lonely elderly people, disabled children, and orphans; and organized free haircuts for the subjects here. The total value of the activities was more than 50 million VND.

In addition, the two units also coordinated to organize sports exchanges, promote the 80th anniversary of National Day for cadres, soldiers and youth union members; clean up and offer incense at the Monument to the heroic martyrs in the ward. On this occasion, the national flag was also presented to fishermen in the coastal border area of ​​Ca Mau province, encouraging them to go offshore, both to produce and to contribute to protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland, and to actively participate in preventing IUU fishing.
