Entering the match, the U21 Vietnamese women's volleyball team played very confidently, at times playing on par with the mighty Korabelka and deservedly receiving much praise from the fans. Good offense, good blocking, coach Nguyen Trong Linh and his team caused many surprises for the defending champions.

However, the class of Korabelka's players with the key player Nesterova helped the Russian representative regain their rhythm, gradually creating a gap and winning 25-19 against the home team in set 1.

In set 2, the U21 Vietnam women's volleyball team started the game extremely well with a series of excellent blocks, unexpectedly leading Korabelka 4-1. However, the Russian representative quickly returned to the set, taking advantage of their height, momentum, and superior blocks to overwhelm the home team, taking the lead 14-10. Nesterova and her teammates then widened the gap to nearly 10 points, but U21 Vietnam played extremely resiliently, reaching 19 points before succumbing with a score of 19-25, allowing Korabelka to raise the score to 2-0.

In set 3, U21 Vietnam still played very hard, but Korabelka showed more and more superiority, taking advantage of his physical advantage to create a big gap. Our blockers were no longer playing as effectively as before and accepted to let the defending champions finish with a 25-14 victory, winning after only 3 sets.

Thus, after three consecutive losses, U21 Vietnam cannot continue and must compete in the ranking matches in this year's tournament.
